An Earthen Crown
A poetic revelation of the sovereignty to be found within
Spherical shores all indigo blu
A venerable whirling at a star's birthing
This devoted observer watched
From her solitary cathedral pew
Until an incessant pull from deep inside
Awakened the call to wholeness
To merge with this eagle-eye view
Required blind submission to her rainbow ride
To dive and be immersed in a watery land
Where tiny embers delightfully found lingering
At once lifted by scorched fingers from mountainous cauldrons
While timelessness shattered the hourglass sands
Rising from fragmented runes
Once invisible to the naked eye
And absent a golden partnered warmth
To encumber a forgotten and genderless sky
This feral soul inexorably now trusted
Reclaims her forever crown
Undressing the gossamer jewels once encrusted
Her true majesty finally found!

Annine Massaro
I am a poetess on a wild and beautiful ride full of radical forgiveness and compassion. A lover of words, I bow to their power to wound and heal. I write to be made whole. It is with a prayer that what I share inspires the same in another.
