creating something from something less interesting
a coating of peach, the softness of my skin, pockets of blemishes and smile lines
a splash of blue, big trusting eyes, the sky in the summer
a stroke of red, a break in the peace, a mouth that can’t stay still
a spattering of pink, blushing in dim lighting, roses in spring
a spill of brown, a constellation of freckles, leaves in the fall
a streak of black, a soulless memory, the sky in the winter
a swift motion and a tearing. a photo that was but now isn’t
everything looks better when it’s not real
