Amlodhi and the Great Recycling

it's come around again

the world spins

faster

like the mill that grinds the grain

like the tales that fill our minds

our memories, our brain

they say there's nothing new

only blue

under the sun

and they'd be right,

at least for now

the end has just begun

.

but endings are beginnings

the caterpillar knows

he has his wings, his legs and things

even before the butterfly grows

.

so wait a while

put on a smile

even though it's failing fast

it's nothing new

to begin anew

to start a brand new past

.

sad poetry
