Time to Pause
Empty Bench
Vast lake spreads just ahead
Silence -but for a Gull squawk in the distance
A group of polar plungers appears via van.
Gasping, laughing, in they go
A full ten minutes elapses until they return to fluffy towels
Rosy cheeks, Laughing Lips, Chattering Teeth
Clicking Cold Chatters that can be heard up and down the shore
They pack up & lead the charge back to the road & their suburban lives
While I continue to sit & reflect on this winteresque scene
Breath in Breath out
Tranquility Time Resumes

Brandis G.
Writing has always been one of my passions. Photography is a close 2nd for me- living in Montana there is no shortage of photo ops! 3 cats & 1 dog make up my furry family. I lost my husband and love of my life 5 years ago to ALS.
