This Endeavour you have taken,
Arriving in the arms of those that have longed for your presence.
Sounds of mourning you created filled the room,
Yet it pleased our hearts and brought us joy.
Dear little one, I can’t begin to tell you,
The joy and peace you have brought with you from heaven above.
The son of man has compared thee to the kingdom of God,
And I compare thee to the beauty of dawn.
Such innocence and grace lays upon thy head,
Tears of peace cascade upon my cheek as I gaze at thee in thy bed.
Dear little one,
How can one unknown be loved so dearly.
Nothing compares to the vision of the smile I see, when you see me.
Dear God, bless this little soul that has come to us.
I pray the spirit leads you as your name proclaims.
Dear little one,
I am unworthy to take you the right way.
But I ask thy creator to lead you day by day.
My little one, thank you for loving me, before you knew me.
