Dear Poet,
I'm writing to you with a heavy heart,
For I heard the news and it tore me apart.
I see you forgot to save your poetry,
And now it's lost - a travesty!
*
I know it's hard to keep track of things,
Especially when the muse spreads her wings.
But to not save your work is a big mistake,
Like trying without flour to bake a cake.
*
So let this be a lesson, my dear friend,
To always save your poetry until the very end.
Don't let it slip away into the digital abyss,
Or you'll be left with nothing but to reminisce.
*
But fear not, my poet, for all is not lost,
You can start again, free of cost.
Take a deep breath, and let your pen flow,
And before you know it, the muse will bestow.
*
So don't be too hard on yourself,
We all make mistakes,
But remember save each draft to
save yourself heartache!
With a smile and a laugh,
This letter I send,
I bid you adieu,
Always save!
~Your friend.

"Save early - save often", a well written tale of advisory caution!
