I’ve dreamt of that elusive thimble
for the very first time
it came from Persephone
oh her pomegranate lips
they’re quite divine
yet with such heavy eyelids
sleep is hard to find
I know I must stay awake
while the Queen is away
upon the Tartarian hill I’ve climbed
~
I’ve thought of that evasive peach
with every passing day
saturated with sweetness
dripping into my soul
indulged in sapid bouquet
yet with such natant logic
reason swirls around me
a mind on the verge
of an endless road
sifting through all the past debris
~
I’ve wrote of that evanescent sky
through subtlety of poem
daily atmospheric change
as tides ebb and flow
Hades I must dethrone
yet with such internal light
I illuminate the dark
with the arrow of Eros
flying straight and true
on wings of doves we shall embark
