Hey there, let's take a moment to reflect on this journey we call life.

As we grow older, I often think back to my younger days filled with spontaneity, adventure, and carefree living.

It's crazy how priorities shift, right?

Now, self-care has taken the front seat in my life.

With age comes a natural change in lifestyle.

I used to be all about jumping into new things, but now I find joy in simpler pleasures.

Those adventures are beautiful, but it's often those quiet moments that truly matter.

Of course, aging brings its challenges.

From physical health to financial concerns, there's a lot to navigate.

Society can sometimes overlook the struggle's older folks face,

but we must prioritize mental well-being.

Awareness and reflection are key.

I've turned to writing as my creative escape.

It helps me process emotions and share experiences.

Life isn't 'just about moving' forward, it's about appreciating every step we take.

As I embrace this chapter, I realize change is part of the journey.

While I may not have the same boldness as in my youth, I'm learning to accept this phase with grace.

I still believe in pushing forward, finding joy, and embracing whatever

comes next.

I used to explore

I used to implore

I used to be spontaneous

I used to play simultaneously

My self-care is important as I get older.

I was told to be bolder

At so old age

At the winter stage

Of life

Of adventures remembered

Without strife

I was so limber

With strife

To work, play, love

Carry on without kids’ gloves

My body has issues

With tissues

Organs

And bargains

Of low income

With some

People that laugh

They want to take low income away,

Discovery is discord,

With or without words

I slowed down,

As I say to you today

Around

We go as we spin around,

The globe

My mental health is breathing in & breathing out,

To create bliss in my adobe,

I must rest more in old age,

Upon my life’s stage

My walk is slow.

My smile is faint.

Omnipotent universe of above & below

I am no saint.

Energy is low.

Thinking about the seeds I now sow

I will write about peace.

I write about love,

To say the least

Below & above

The 'powers that be'

Do not want to keep us alive

I warned folks

About the clowns

The fools

That is not cool

Their anger seeps out of their skin

Spreading their evil that boils within

Under their skin, their evil tools

These are the fools

Dealing with my empath

My altruisms

Of past love

Past romances of above & below

Are the seeds I now sow

I studied hard

Played hard

Now I am home everyday

Miss the spin of spontaneity today

But I will write

I create

I recite

I can do this today

Along life’s way

I learned to analyze my path forward

Or towards

Not backwards

I have done a lot of stuff

But I think it’s still not enough

I sigh as I describe

I am old

I am less bold

Now, then in my youth of yesterday

But I will adapt

To that

The globe spins

The stars shine

In time

With the sun, the moon, universe

And I grin

Well, I guess, I still want to win.
