Altered Perception

Some smoke does drift and dance right by

So spoke by flames to fuel a high

A toke to try invoke the sky

For don’t you know, its fall is nigh

And as it clouds reality

It then unshrouds a destiny

As it abounds, duality

In lost and founds, a legacy

x

Of opposites we all are made

When in the light or in the shade

Duality can never fade

For with it was the basis laid

x

For all we are and all we know

And all things dead and all that grow

And everything, above, below

That on ourselves we did bestow

x

For we are the eternal thing

Knowing itself so it might bring

The peace of which we often sing

To greater self from which we spring
