Alone

Poem

By Genius SlyPublished about a year ago 1 min read

You let me into a fantasy that had us together,

the walls were no longer shielding my heart and admitting you in,

willingly and lovingly.

I cut ties with everyone else that showed any inch of affection,

any appearance of yearning,

because my heart had shouted words it never dared convey to anybody else.

It took the lead on this adventure and I was ready to go,

but you selected her.

You opted to fight an eternal struggle for someone who deceived you,

over me,

and what we could be.

I love you

is what I said and meant,

but here I am eating my crow all alone.

Been there… devastating. If this is you, you are Beautiful and wonderfully made, the world is a better place because you’re in it. Not only do you matter, but you are enough. Your person is coming, perhaps where And when you least expect it.
