Alone in a Crowd

What does it mean to be alone in a crowd?

That is me.

Alone in a crowd-

Sitting in a room full of family and friends-

and no body even really notices that you are

even there. You say 'Hi' and still no one hardly

even notices.

You sit and as always listen to others talk about

things that you do not have anything to add.

But, when they need something done- who do they call.

You! and in the end hardly a thank you.

Another thing that happens to make one feel

alone in crowd when you offer a statement or two

they just stare at you and make you think that you really

do not know anything. No one really bothers to even 'see' you.

Alone in a crowd.
