Darkness thickens
my breath is shaky
footsteps quicken
my brain is achy
My chest feels tight
I hear the voices growl
"There is no light,"
they snicker as they prowl
I hit the wall
I get down low
I curl up in a ball
with no where left to go
they laugh and taunt me
"I must get out," I cry aloud
the yellow of their eyes I see
but the darkness covers me like a shroud
I must get out, but how?
