Allow me to suffer on her behalf

Let me take your pain upon myself

By Swords and Feathers Published 3 years ago 1 min read

It is often the heart that trembles,

And the tongue mumbles,

I want to save you, gods let me save you,

I do not want the winds to carry you,

I’m the first to be afraid,

Knowing you'll be carried into the wind,

Knowing you’re forever,

But I don’t want you to suffer,

Dear gods let me carry her pain,

Bind me in her norn’s bitter chains,

Carry me into the winds,

Set her free from the bonds that bind,

Make me hungry in her place,

I’m not afraid for my flesh,

I’m least fearful of myself,

I’ll walk on her behalf on the icy passage of Hel,

Dear gods allow me to protect,

My love is innocent,

Trial me instead,

Carry me into the wind
