Poem: Shikwa (The Complaint)

Why should I choose the path of loss, or bear the weight of pain? ๐
Why should my heart not yearn for days when faith did reign? ๐
Once we were those who lit the world, our swords did gleam with might, โ๏ธ
In deserts vast, in mountains high, we spread eternal light. ๐
O Lord, our hearts still burn for Thee, our souls in worship bow, ๐
Yet why do nations rise and thrive, while we are humbled now? ๐
Was it not us who bore Your name through ages dark and long? ๐
Our blood was spilled, our lives were spent, to make Your message strong. ๐ช
The stars, the moon, the skies above, still echo with our call, ๐
But now our hearts are torn apart, we stumble and we fall. ๐ข
O God, restore our former grace, let unity revive, ๐ค
For in Your love, we seek to soar, and in Your will, we thrive! ๐
