Do you remember that cool spring spot where we met, how
I left my preconceived notion of life behind
Sitting there with you as we read your whole body & mind & heart so smooth in a poem
Timbers of your gorgeous mind
Reaching my very core and reading my mind in a subconscious foreplay
All too well you knew me before we spoke
Careless I left you my heart in a bubble of tears and lemon drops
Touching the endless cool things you left on our shelf with my eager ear
Indulging in the tactile sounds of your fingers pressing too hard on the keyboard
Over the soft side of your mouth I follow your lemon peel into the balm that
Neutralizes the dark underbelly of my horror story, the aroma of heaven overflowing over hell
