All or None

I'll make no compromise

In referring to the rights of human beings.

It all or none.

/

I shall clarify what I mean thusly:

All means that all human beings

Should have the right to themselves

And the freedoms to live peacefully.

None means that none of you will

Know justice or peace

Until the former has been achieved.

/

If that sounds like a never-ending loop,

That's because it is.

Because the fight for equality

Will be never-ending,

Perpetual,

Ceaseless,

Chaotically repetitive,

Until we are satisfied.

/

We intend to exhaust you

Of all your hatred and vitriol

Of your inhumanity and evil intentions

Until all that's left of you

Is a broken ego and a fist.

/

Be wary of using force and violence

Against the People for we are not cowards.

We fight by nonviolent protest but

If you declare war upon us

We will answer in kind.

/

You are fewer than you think

In your fascist compounds

And homogenous elegant dining rooms,

And we are millions upon millions

Of angry, disenfranchised, diverse throngs

Who will stay united despite your efforts

To divide and conquer us.

/

We are the ending of an era,

An era of needless suffering

In the embrace of impossible goals.

You long to rehash a greatness

That was only fools' gold.

/

We are willing to die for true freedom

While you cower behind concrete walls

And pretend to be masters of war.

/

We believe in the full potential of humanity

And you only believe in returned investment.

We are the future

And one day

You will be yet another chapter in a history textbook.
