Weary of Love
Weary of Love
I grew tired of love
It had become my refuge and escape,
A longing I once pursued.
Then came femininity and crowned beauty,
Pure-hearted, an endless hymn.
You surprised me with your radiant presence,
After silence had settled in my bed.
I confronted the night each passing evening,
Sleeplessness sighing beside me.
Then it spoke a truth
"I am the dark night,
You only see beauty in me
Through the lit candles.
You, always still,
Never striving to shine.
Life is a pursuit, a desire,
For those who seek love
Today, I see your face illuminated,
Lights rejoicing in your attire.
When the candles lit,
I saw a butterfly dancing around you,
Yearning for your presence.
I found beauty,
The dance of butterflies,
All seeking you.
You have changed,
Now your nature is captivating.
With love, we revive;
With life, we trade.
When she approached me,
Her lips adorned with smiles,
Fragrant with amber.
I said, "Welcome, my beloved,
The joy of my heart,
The paradise of my state.
You were once my thought,
A dream I envisioned.
Today, you reside in the heart of a lover,
Questioning the past.
Why the distance in the early days?
She danced, adorned herself,
Paused before speaking,
Perhaps to ignite my longing
With the sweetness of her song.
