For Matthew Fromm's Challenge
And now a challenge!
One of my favorite writing exercises is picking a random, mundane object and writing a poem about it in the 5-7-5 format. I've found it is a fantastic way to get the creative juices flowing. Now, I challenge you to do the same!
Rules are simple:
1. Write a poem about a mundane object in the 5-7-5 format.
2. Once published, drop the link into the comments below. This is the space from where I will draw the winner. It's not required to link back to this post, but it is appreciated. There is no limit to how many you can submit.
3. One week from now, I'll tip my three favorites $1.
Happy writing friends!

Bravo!!! Masterful in form and insight. Congrats!
You give me the world with this one, and yet I'm alone in my home office, typing into the void. Exceptional Haiku. Love it!

Awesome!!! I've thought about that very thing when thinking about how people are always right at my fingertips, but I don't always call them. lol.
This is a world of living on our phones, I suppose.
