Alien World

A poem

If a UFO was to land in my yard

Due to the need for fuel

I’d take the alien in and explain to him

We need to get him home

Before the Men in Black show up

I’ll tell him that they are not like the ones in the movies

These just want to dissect him

And steal his technology

Then, I would gift him helium-filled balloons

Because his craft runs off of light gas

Once his ship is refueled,

He will ask to take me and mine

On a trip to his home planet

On the flight to his solar system

He will let me control the music selection

Where I introduce him to the Gods of Rock

And he will introduce me to a meal called Glack

We will get along like two peas in a pod

And he will be so thankful

I warned him about the men clad in all black.

Our friendship will be the start of a new era.

As I grow old at the place of an alien’s birth.
