Alibaba and the Forty Thieves
A Hilarious Twist on Treasure, Greed and Magic Words!
In a dusty town, not far, not near,
Lived Alibaba, with little to fear.
A woodcutter by trade, a dreamer at heart,
But luck? Well, he needed a head start.
One day in the woods, chopping away,
He heard some voices, clear as day.
Forty thieves, with loot galore,
Gathered near a secret door.
"Open Sesame!" they loudly cried,
The door swung wide, treasures inside!
Gold, jewels, and coins piled high,
Alibaba's jaw nearly touched the sky.
He tiptoed in once the thieves were gone,
Grabbing gold till the break of dawn.
But being greedy was not his style,
He took just enough and left with a smile.
His brother, Cassim, got wind of the tale,
And greedily plotted to tip the scale.
He went to the cave, but alas, too slow,
Forgot the password β oh no, oh no!
βOpen Barley? Open Wheat?β
Nothing worked; he faced defeat.
The thieves returned and caught him there,
Cassim learned life isnβt always fair.
Alibaba, the wiser of the two,
Saved his brother (with quite a few).
The moral here, if you must know:
Greed leads nowhere, but smarts will grow!
So if you find treasure, big or small,
Remember, my friend, donβt take it all.
And if you forget the magic phrase,
Just Google it. Weβre in modern days! π
