Alabaster's Star

A Sonnet for Romantic Hearts

By Abbey NessPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Her stirring ever breaking like the dawn.

Smiles Sweetly on the whispers of the night.

It shines so fondly on his true love's fawn,

Her alabaster glow kisses birds' flight.

His heart is burst with song of thunder's pride,

As oceans wash with light beneath her sleep.

His gazing ambers rest upon his bride,

As she who captivates his heart dreams deep.

A love as pure as honey after rain.

Is found beneath the sorrows of a flood.

For one cannot take breath with any gain.

If touched with lust not in a proper blood.

So here the lovers rest in true love's grasp,

And there the burdens calm and tide and clasp.
