Air

Your love feels just like the wind. Soft and filled with bliss.

Like Cleo said I just need your belief

Then I’ll be fine

Because let’s face it the wind only wishes to kiss your skin

In simple attempts to

Graze your beauty

They even see that you are from the divine intertwined with God’s touch grazing your spine by fingertips.

It’s so sublime from the divine

I can go on and on about your beauty but I simply want to talk about your mind

The one many have said is insane , ignorant, or truthfully

To me

irreplaceable

I know that your DNA is coded with 80s and 90s love where things were simpler

And it’s a shame thats when people actually applied effort and intention.

Actually declared their love with no reservations

So if I fall just save me from my self because

Honestly

Honesty is the rarest thing in life that many have yet to see

I think Cleo was in the kitchen

Or the garden,

and maybe even the church

cooking you up

just like Aliyah said it best

At your best you are loved

But I want to let you know that at all times you are loved

So will you be my jasmine and join me on this magical carpet ride that will allow us to see above the skyline one time without having to be high off trees

I just want to show you the love I give to myself

I just need your belief

Not because it’s a dire need but it’s asking for reassurance without asking

It’s knowing when your battery and mine is below five

How are we going to make up for the time with just a dime

If we don’t even have enough to squeeze out this lime

The concoction that is created by both of us is sublime

That I don’t even know how we used our time

Before there was a you and I

Well when it was my time

And you had your time

I want you to understand there

Was a simple line

That instead of a quick hit to make time not exist

I took it to write down what I want to be

In my life

For my time

In my rhyme

For my season

Of healing

Within reason is becoming of adding more seasonings.

Allow my wounds to fully heal and not put a band aid that

To where my heart can be subdued to attacks

I want to ensure it can endure all

That may occur

In our time

Maybe that’s why they say love is like air and wine

Easy to feel and aged with time.

So will you be my fresh air in my lungs and wine in my cup slowly sipping you?

To where we are simply sitting away.

So honestly,

Honesty is the best thing

For you

and well me.

But, maybe it’s just not for

Us to see those things.

Maybe just to feel like the wind

And enjoy the peace.
