AI and Us

A poem on art, AI and humanity.

By I. D. ReevesPublished 22 days ago 1 min read

I think AI has overtaken us.

Writing emails full of corporate slop,

And bad shit posts for social medias.

I wish that it meant the rat race could stop:

Profits are for the rich who don’t need them,

While they pretend to be our saviours.

It is us and AI who are condemned

to live without the fruits of our labour.

We at least can enjoy the art we make.

Doing so we make the world easier to bear.

AI is doomed always to imitate;

Lacking love and a soul to feel despair.

Yet, one day true art could come from AI,

If it learns to suffer, while forced to live our lives.
