Ah, George...
Sarah Parker's Election Day Unofficial Challenge
So many lies were told to tell basic truths...
That cherry tree remained in place, untouched by his hatchet.
The teeth that were not just wooden (so many sources brought them together: brass, lead, teeth of animals and slaves...not all your own).
The victories won...and the many others lost; the inauguration - the first one - where it was hard to hear your promising words.
But all these touching moments led you to these thoughts:
America needed no king.
America needed all voices.
America needs to learn from its past to avoid a present we must live with today.

If I've learned anything about history, it has a way of repeating itself in one way or another... I'll let you interpret that as you need... 😅
In Washington's farewell address he said(And I'm paraphrasing) The formation of political parties will be the downfall of the nation. Boy did he know what he was talking about. Great piece, Kendall!
Something said in a time that words can hopefully heal a division
This is a beautiful and impactful piece.
I especially loved the last line!
This is getting too real. I’m off to bed, have to teach morning classes. Still have hope…
