When the odds are against us, we turn the tide a step at a time. ---Michelle Liew

The competition takes its cut---
Mismatched players,
Crowd bias,
Blows of fate.
I am consummate,
But she wins.
I am the favourite.
Fair's fair, she says.
Each round, I serve again.
Each time, her return skews more.
Fair's fair, I say.
