a love at first sight, caught me adrift in a dream, but left me awake
Another parade
Another post parade whinge
Another day ends
Again a new day
Again with the misery
Again with regret
Once more laid in bed
Once more my isolation
Once more my coldness
Over and over
Over and over my love
Over and over
Encore same feelings
Encore my perfect darkness
Encore the light now
Repeat the mistake
Repeat the clouds of my love
Repeat the parade
Year after year love
Year after year my regret
Year after year pain
Anew the same love
Anew the same bitterness
Anew acceptance
One more time maybe
One more time in my love lost
One more time never
Forever the same
Forever I will change it
Forever my place
Refusing the truth
Always killing me slowly
Accepting a lie
The truth brings me joy
But I never accept it
The lie is easy
After the parade
All the cars return to drive
The streets look anew
The future alone
With you out still in my heart
But walking alone
My place isn't with you
I have to find it alone
Without you I walk
My world was with you
My world is alone again
But the world hasn't changed
At dusk the sun sets
At dawn the sun still rises
Earth still in orbit
If my place isn't love
Is love the destination
Or in my own heart
