In June

June has passed and so have

All the celebrations and Parades.

What do we do now?

This year is different.

This year we are fighting

For our lives.

The States are going after

Trans people.

They are being targeted like

Never before.

Then right before the Parades

This year the Supreme Court

Made a decision that will

Affect us in the years to come.

They overturned Roe vs Wade.

In their comments they made it

Clear that they are going to go

After Gay marriage.

We have to start now to try

And do everything we can to

Prevent this.

We also have to be prepared

In case this does happen.

Yes, this year is different.

Keep fighting.

Keep celebrating and

Being who you are.

Loved that last line "Bring who you are!" Can't believe we are going backwards 😢. Poems like this can help us keep pushing for the fight forward.
