After I’m Gone, How You’ll Know That It’s Me
The signs that I'm still with you will be everywhere

After I’m gone, you won’t be without me,
There will be signals and signs that I’m still here with you.
When you watch a TV show or movie and hear a quote I used to say,
That’s me.
When an old picture of us together pops up on social media,
That’s me.
When you’re in the grocery store and one of the songs I’d sing is playing,
That’s me.
When you see someone in public wearing a T-shirt I used to wear,
That’s me.
When you read something wonderful or sad and you’re moved to tears,
That’s me.
When you meet a dog for the first time who is overjoyed to see you,
That’s me.
When your child says or does something the way I once did,
That’s me.
When someone tells you a joke that I originally told you,
That’s me.
When you’re feeling defeated but find the strength to push forward,
That’s me.
When somebody gives you one of those really good hugs,
That’s me.
When you have one of life’s serendipitous moments and catch yourself smiling,
That’s me.
When you’re missing me so much and it’s almost too hard to bear,
That’s me.
When you drive by a place we once visited together,
That’s me.
When the weather is active and it’s about to become fierce,
That’s me.
When it’s quiet for once and you feel a rare moment of peace,
That’s me.
When our pet snaps out of her sleep and looks around with ears up,
That’s me.
When you’re late for work and finally find your lost keys,
That’s me.
When you say a silent prayer and the situation works out,
That’s me.
When you see a Daddy playing with his laughing child at the park,
That’s me.
When you come to your end and see open arms in front of you,
That’s me.
