Another subtle nuance
A parting gesture
An elegance
And a perfunctory moment
of awkward dysfunction
that becomes goodbye
In the light of the morning after
all
becomes a little less fairy tale
and a little less vital
trivialities become once more
important
in life scopes
such as a breakfast
of Cheerios or blueberry whole wheat
pancakes with real butter and honey
where the
champions are eggs runny
after the moments of victory
and celebratory accomplishments
comes actually
the living
after all
it all comes down to the gracious handling of a stain on your silk shirt
when you actually remember
frustration
because your friends baby
ground his whole grain Cheetos into the carpet
after all
its the moments in life that are victorious that keep the rest
all the moments in between
all the rests are carried by
the moments
that civility took to the streets
with torches that marched in the parades
the voices that yelled
and the heads that turned the other ways
as they set the world on fire
the moments of life were filled by
the flags
rainbow
and unfurling
bright significance of promise
of light
awareness
and change to remain
and the hustle
and the strength of a unity that remains unseen
it is the recognition of frailty
that fires the creation of strength
that lights the world with truths
that could set the soul on fire
then posts the megaphone to lips
that guides the way through the blazes
and leads us home
after all
there are quiet moments
and small frustrations
and savoring of memories
and appreciation of beauties
quiet moments that are pools of reflection
of memories
of a stillness
that signifies
a mend and an acceptance
there are pains
and growths
a child's eyes
and new puppies
there are always the victories
and strengths and accomplishments
that living in revolutions that fuel Renaissance
in thought
in life
in art
that create a whole new carriage in people
elegance and dignity
human equilibrium
and the one of a kind celebration of such
that will always be known
as the generation of us.
