African Women Embrace Your Worth.

A poetic plea for women to embrace their worth.

By Oludare Teniola Published 3 years ago 1 min read

In Africa, there is a title called "wife material" that is highly valued and important. Women work hard to earn this title because it affects how they feel about themselves.

But please heed my request, dear sisters: You are worth far more than you can imagine. Do not let society reduce your value to that of a menial title.

Never let culture determine your value, Your heart, mind, and soul are priceless jewels to behold; you are not something for people to look at.

And when you cave in to the pressure of becoming a bride material, you are told to forsake everything that makes you special and give up goals that you have.

Refuse to let society dictate your course, It is up to you to live and make plans for your life.Do not let a mere title define the depth of love you carry.

You are more than just a title and have immense value to offer beyond the boundaries created by society.
