Sweet dreams goodnight little one dear // words to give you comfort as you go to sleep // Ideas enticing you full of cheer // Dreams soon whisked you away without a peep //

Words to give you comfort as you go to sleep // Words so often I dreaded to be near // Dreams whisked you away without a peep // Drifting thought you wonder as it becomes clear //

Words so often i dreaded to be near // As the night loomed secrets came that I must keep // Drifting thought you wonder as it becomes clear // Mistress fingers begging you not to weep//

As the night loomed secrets came that I must keep// Face red as father tells me the price much to bare // Mistress fingers begging you not to weep // Bloody nose doors slammed as into the ceiling I stare //

Sweet dreams goodnight little one dear
