We were living in a daydream
One where we couldn't be seen
Peace isn't easy when your soul is on fire
Yet we stayed caught up in our desire
Cemented in our lust
Although my voraciousness became too much
I became restless, while you turned distant
Maybe the end should have been clear
But I kept pushing; deeper and deeper
You were the only one I could see
And that's how I got blinded
By a daydream.
