Across The Bar

I waited Twelve Years to...

By Brian HurlburtPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Twelve Years Passed

From The First Time

I Knew, I wanted to go

There!

The Bar,

The Triangle,

That

Forbidden Place!

Then,

Almost,

Without Trying...

The Time Was Right!

For You We’re There!

Across The Bar

Not too Far!

That Night!

I left

Before

Twelve Chimes

Passed

I Waited,

Time Passed,

We Met Again!

That Night!

We sat

and Ate

and Drank

Over Breakfast

Then,

When,

We Parted,

That Night!

It was in

The Coming

Light!

That Night!

That,

We Parted,

Untouched, Unkissed,

But Bonded!

A Bond, That Lasted

A Lifetime Pass

Together Forever,

Across The Bar!

... We Met!
