I had a dream and in the dream I heard a song I hadn't heard before. The first four lines below were all that I heard from the song in the dream. I wrote the rest based on the song. I don't know how to write songs but I like to hope this poem could be the rest of the song.

I've been wanting to save you

All this time

For I feel your love is

One of a kind

All it took was one look

In your eyes

I've been wanting to save you

All this time

I know it's not my part

But I act it anyway in the dark

'Cause no matter what I do

You live in my heart

I know I'm a statue

As you walk by

I want to but I can't move

Inside silently I cry

I know it's not in the cards

To be the art in your heart

But no matter what I do

I imagine you're in my arms

You deserve your own salute

As you walk by

How fluidly I would move

While I hold your gaze with mine

I know it's not my part

But I act it anyway in the dark

'Cause no matter what I do

You live in my heart

Yeah, I know it's not in the cards

To be the art in your heart

But no matter what I do

I imagine you're in my arms

You're ace of spades

Always digging deeper into my heart

heartbreak
