Acceptance is also part of what you should strive for.

Accept that someone who was once so good to you can eventually stop caring.

Accept that someone who was once so close to you can walk away and still be doing just as well as before.

There is no true "missed opportunity" in this world; what is missed is simply that the other person didn't want to stay.

"Meeting" in a relationship is actually the result of both people being willing to stop and wait for each other.

He didn't wait for you.

Those who want to hold onto someone often end up only holding onto themselves.

You've done your best, you have a clear conscience, and you haven't let this relationship down.

Leaving someone who doesn't appreciate you isn't a loss, but rather the beginning of your turning point.
