Absent, not Forgotten

Memories

By Mayorkun AjayiPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

Room was quiet, silence was deafening,

memories of her were fresh.

though she's left, Her presence still felt,

memories fails, but she's not forgotten.

Pictures on the walls and trinkets on the shelves,

reminders of their love. As he stood there,

his daughter appeared, a spitting image of her mother.

Her presence gave him hope. Love shone through the darkest moments.

Even though she was gone, she lived on in

their memories and the life they created.

As they hugged, he knew everything would be okay,

love would always find a way.
