Somewhere above the bright New York skyline
A sweet, treasured place, still held in time
Memories ascending like summer scents in July
While fireworks dance, lighting deep midnight skies
Promises made secret, under flashes of starlight
Hearts racing fast, with your hand on my thigh
Time disappears quickly, imprinted on my mind
The treasures of yesterday of when you were mine
Colors explode like quick steps on the pavement
Destiny hovers leaving doubts far behind
Chances for taking with risks for its payment
Refreshing and freeing my new state of mind
As bold as the city, my spirit is soaring
Like the birds in the sky simply flying away
Dropping my worries and cares far below me
Taking a lesson from a fine New York day
