ABC’s at the County Fair

By C Jyl Parker

Another travel day rolls

By, another

County fair to try.

Deep-fried oreos, cotton candy

Everyone says this place is dandy.

Fair parades are great for all,

Goats and ponies

Have a ball.

It’s fun to play

Just stay all day.

Keep kids in

Line and take your time.

Merry-go-rounds

Need tickets and sounds.

On and off we hop, then get yourself some soda

Pop.

Quickly

Run to the next ride.

Showtime now when bulls get

Tied.

Until you’re tired and

Very hot,

We’ll search around for

“X marks the spot.”

Yes, we’ll have a blast at the county fair.

Zucchini bread! Give me a share.
