A-Z Day in the Life

I read the news today, oh boy!

A news report I read today.

Behold an accident - a man was killed.

Car crashes often make me sad.

Don’t judge because I laughed.

Endearing photograph.

Full-blooded mind fuck in the car.

Glaringly obvious the lights had changed.

Horror-struck people stood and stared.

In case they knew his face.

Just a little recognition he was from the House of Lords.

Kept my eyes on the whole film.

Lester’s dark commentary that war’s a game.

Most of the theatre turned away.

Not me, I had to look.

Of course I’d read the book.

Perked up, and hit the floor, grabbed some kit from out the drawer.

Quickly down stairs for a cup of tea, caught the clock.

Running out of time.

Snatched my coat, hat was grabbed - waste no time; the bus was nabbed.

Took the stairs in twos and had a smoke.

Unbroken thoughts till somebody spoke.

Very surprised by news today

Whole lot of holes in Blackburn, Lancashire

Xerox repeat though holes were small.

Yes someone counted all.

Zero in on all the holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.

Song Lyrics
