a womens right
my take .... i fight with my words
For those that do not understand what is truly at stake
but ....the future of femalehood
We are being told that in certain states that now
we (WOMEN) are not allowed
to protect our bodies
from having to bear a fetus
that could be detrimental to our health
might be a product of rape
of incest
but ....... yet men are not held to the same standard
why should they be allowed
to plant their seed and go their merry way
How about we make it illegal
for them to get snipped or some other
thing taking away their choice
We are not taking this lying down..... we will fight
(as our Grandmothers and great-grandmothers) did
in the courts and in the streets

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
