A Wish: If Tomorrow Comes

Short Poem

By AuthorsDreadPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

I wish I was a glider; I’d go sailing through the air.

Up above the mountains and across the clear green plains.

I would not stop to think of things men do below;

For my heavenly destination, that’s where I’m bound to go.

If tomorrow should come and my wishes don’t come through

I would not say I’m better, nor my brother is a fool.

I will strive towards the future

Until things are the way they should.

Together we will work for better and for good.

If tomorrow should come and my enemy should say,

Oh, dear! My life has been dismayed;

Help me please once today.

I will not say, ah no! Because today is not too late

I will do as my Lord did; give help in love and faith.
