A Winter’s Serenade
A Winter’s Serenade: Embracing the Quiet Magic of the Holiday Season

Under winter’s soft and silken sigh,
The world is draped in a white robe, soaring high.
The snow angels do a waltz, soft and slow,
Sketch out patterns peaceful hearts.
Laughter spills out of frosted panes,
A tuneful spin on frigid refrains.
Children’s giggles mix with the brisk air,
Their mittened hands molding dreams with care.

Within, a hearth glows, golden and bright,
Keeping shadows at bay overnight.
Families come, they tell some stories,
Weaving past into present in threads of gold.
The smell of evergreen and spiced delight,
Fills houses with a plus that glows with magic.
Candles flicker, the flames a hymn,
Dervishing, the peace within to sing.

But in the silence of the hour of midnight,
A still marvel unfolds its strength.
It holds the tired, the wandering, the lonely,
Quietly whispering, “You are known.”
Traditions, both new and old, are woven
From the holy to the everyday colors.
A mother’s hug, a friend’s kind cheer,
Such moments bring clarity to the season.
The stars align through frosty windows,
Guiding hearts to the divine.
That the shiniest gifts aren’t always the best.
Thus raise a glass and have your spirit sing,
To love, to hope, to the warmth they offer.
For in the shimmering, the dazzling, the fancy,
Lies the quiet truth: heart is home.
