A Wax Statue

Everybody else that you created is a clay statue.

By Crina Fran PandaPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

Everybody else that you created

is a clay statue.

You’ve chosen to create me

as a wax statue.

You melted wax on my body,

you shaped my body with wax.

My raw flesh stings;

you stuck boiling wax on it.

I’m petrified but conscious

that my destiny is to live

as a wax statue.

Those that will admire the statue

won't know that it’s nothing more

but a rotten human being

captured within wax.

sad poetry
