A warning about Global Warming

Global warming is affecting our lives

In ways we may not comprehend

We are learning to survive

Without pondering the season we are in

Turning clocks back was supposed to render

An extra hour of morning sunlight

But the dark won't surrender

At 7:00 a.m. it still looks like night

Summer evenings in past decades

Ended at about eight forty-five

Last summer, brightness did not fade

At around 9 p.m. light continued to thrive

It's time to stop cutting down all the trees

And giving global warming a hand

We must open our eyes and see

We are destroying our lives and the land
