A Warm Heart in a Cold World

A Warm Heart in a Cold World

By F.R.B.Published about a year ago 1 min read

The world is a frost-kissed, silver expanse,

Where the winds howl through an icy dance.

The trees stand brittle, their branches bare,

Whispers of cold in the thinning air.

Beneath this sky of muted gray,

Where shadows linger and colors stray,

I carry a flame, a tender spark,

A hearth of warmth in the endless dark.

The streets may glisten with frozen tears,

Echoes of silence through hollow years.

Yet in my chest, a fire is lit,

Its embers refuse to ever quit.

For though the world may chill my skin,

This heart beats fiercely from within.

It melts the frost, defies the snow,

A quiet warmth that softly glows.

In every smile, in every touch,

The cold retreats, it means so much.

To love, to hope, to fiercely care,

To light a fire when none is there.

So let the world be harsh and wild,

Barren of comfort, beauty exiled.

For I will walk through the ice and storm,

A soul ablaze, forever warm.
