A voice on your behalf!

R.I.L George Floyd

By Barbara FaloPublished 5 years ago 2 min read

I seen your death explode on screen, live footage the world had seen

To see the knee of authorities, take your last breath, truly obscene

Heard the shout, as you cried for air

These cops’ reactions, were completely unfair

They withered with their badge, abusing authority

They totally, made you victim, because you were minority

I used past tense, now that they have taken your life

Did they care to think, you may have kids, family, or a wife?

I seen the look of the cop, with extreme hate flowing through his knee

Not a flinch, he cared not at all to hear your agony.

He had a look of a pathetic soul, placed in community to abide and care

I felt your struggle, death, and life, now this is completely not fair

The crowd fought to save you, others did not

Authorities, some been bought

The act of violence done to you is utterly insane

If we peel back our skin, only blood runs through our veins

This crime done to you, is not of color, nor gender hate

Theses cops put doom in their own lives and sealed their fate

You done no wrong, but ask for air

Hearing your cry for your mom through your despair

I am disgusted, highly upset, fueled with fire for you,” George Floyd’, RIP

Authorities claim help was on the way, but I watched you die on the street

These men, whom claim to protect, serve and defend all

All they did, was murder you while on a beat, and answer the call

Where do we look too for help? Why even call? Your only help to be free

Evil had shown its face, you were already subdued, break off the knee

Other authorities stood around, with no voice for your precious life

Struggling, gasping for air, not trying to cause strife

I am deeply moved, because your being is no longer here

The cop used his knee, now will struggle all his years

A bended knee, as I recall, was to pray to our father,

Simply this cop, is now just a number, don’t even bother

Wisdom is gain, when seeking truly to obtain

Authorities flawed massively, by sending this cop to detain

My sincerest condolences to you,” George Floyd”, you were killed in plain sight

Now justice for you shall prevail, depending on whether the gavel strike right

Laws were made by women and men, throughout the world

Seeking true justice, does not depend on whether you are a boy or girl

What has been done to you, is inhumane,

Leaders, say, “why do they act insane?”

To watch you get murdered, while authorities see you take your last breath

Did not a thought occur, this could end up in this poor man’s death

To hold a badge, is quite confusing for the public eye,

We call for help yet prepared to die.

RIP GEORGE FLOYD
