A Vicious Cycle

Some cycles are simply unbreakable (like periods)

A cycle is constant,

repeating,

repeating.

a cycle is neverending, like a circle, a

routine,

routine.

When you began patiently waiting, you didn't even notice what was going on until the excuses started.

They say they were waiting for this, and counting on that, so and so, round and round. Until those excuses became setbacks, but they weren't setbacks. They were lies, disguised eyes hope that showed you what you wanted to see because you thought you were supposed to be patient, you thought you were supposed to hang on until the bitter end, but you were so blinded by those convenient lies, those disguised lies, that the end had already come and gone and

You were still hanging on

And you realize all those wasted moments, wasted time, wasted opportunities,

A wasted life.

A life that could've been different, a life that could've been great, a life that you can't change because it's lived.

You see that you could've been happy, you see a life that was so close you could almost reach out and grasp it, but instead you settled for something you thought was great, something you thought would have been classic. The life you were living was never there.

But you waited, and you stayed, and you believed in the lie you were living. And that's when you see it,

That's when you feel it,

That is when you finally break free of it.

The Vicious Cycle.
