A Version of Me

What is ADHD?

Wearing a cracking facade

Twisted smile and head nod

Internally questioning how God

Had to make my mind so 'odd'

I've forgotten your question

Smile with an impression

Go against the suppression

Suggest I cared for your expression

To begin with.

Simply remain poised

Shout through the noise

Of a mind that employs

Me to forget and destroys

Any hope I have -use decoys

What was I saying?

My thoughts start delaying

Constantly straying

From the path of obeying

Despite the conversation decaying

Into the abyss of conveying

That I heard you.

Cut to the cue

I don't know what to do

Act through teeth, cause I knew

Laugh without a clue

Because I still have to pursue

Something

These thoughts I confide

For if I applied

Out loud what's inside

Society would slide

Back out into the tide

And those parts of me denied

to the world

So no cracks

Face the facts

Harbor attacks

Into the back

Get on track

No slack

You lack

What

They

Want

From

You
