A Veggie World

In a world where meat reigns supreme,

There are those who choose to abstain,

Vegetarian, vegan, a conscious dream,

A lifestyle choice with benefits to gain.

Less CO2 emissions, a healthy heart,

One plant-based meal to save the earth,

It's time for a change, a brand new start,

A new food chain, a plant-based rebirth.

But what of the jobs, the butcher and chef,

Their livelihoods lost, a bitter pill to swallow,

But with new skills, they'll rise from the ashes,

Embracing the change, a better tomorrow.

And what of the animals, no longer food,

Their lives to be saved, a kinder fate,

As pets and friends, they'll be understood,

Breaking the stereotypes, it's not too late.

But prices may rise, and panic may ensue,

As people fear the change, and hoard their food,

But if we hold strong, the change will accrue,

And a new world will rise, plant-based and good.

So let's support each other, omnis and vegans alike,

For a world of compassion, where all creatures thrive,

And with each plant-based meal, we take a step towards the light,

Towards a brighter future, where all can survive.
