A Vampire Falls in Love By: Danyel Fields
The night that changed the life of a vampire forever.
On a night like no other but like every other before.
I set out on my journey to feed my hunger that only I can adore
Sliding from dark alleyways to the shadowed streets to score.
Hoping to find someone wondering just out of scene for sure.
There was one and there goes another, but I would leave them to their cover.
Bad hygiene smelling of sweat they both were drunken mumbling under their breath's.
Drunk and dumb not the meal for me, I want something sweet and elegant as I feed.
The smell of honeysuckle floated on the breeze sweeping down the alley where I stood in creep.
Soft words almost a whisper was piercing my crown, I crept closer to the entrance to see what I had found.
There she was a crossed the street cleaning off tables while singing a song that probably only her and I could hear her sing.
I couldn't help myself, so I just stood there and watched her 5'8" slender body long dark hair and a red flowered dress just spinning around.
I don't know how long I was standing there an hour or maybe two, the light in the cafe were shutting off it was time to make my move.
The hunger I was feeling was no longer there, replaced by a yarning just to have her near.
For a few moments I thought she might have slipped out the rear just a few more minutes later that's when she appeared.
I followed her down the street staying out of sight just knowing I had to have her right by my side.
With the honeysuckle blowing in the breeze, it was like I was human again floating through a dream.
Five minutes later that's when things came to a rest, she was at her house walking up the steps.
I stayed in the shadows until the lights faded out another half hour, I'll give her to wine all the way down.
Ten, fifteen, twenty-five minutes have gone by now it is finally time to make her mine.
I climbed through the Livingroom window not making a sound, made my way down the hallway.
Which room is it now? The one to the left has the door open it a bathroom. So, the one on the right, it's time now!
I slowly opened the door slid through with just a crack, there she was sleeping soundly laying on her back.
I sat down beside her and slid my hand over her mouth just in case she was going to scream, I didn't want her to make a sound.
Her eyes opened wide looked me in the face and grabbed my hand and pulled it away from her face.
Who are you and what are you doing here she asked?
My name is Jeffery and I'm here to have you as my partner for eternity.
